Social development is always close to our hearts at Temi Construction. This year, TEMI Team Durban chose to take some time out from the bricks and mortar and made their way to Mason Lincoln Special School located in Umlazi KZN. Site agent, Adolph Chikasha, reported on the team’s 3-hour activity at the school:

The dynamic team comprising site management and general assistants was welcomed warmly by staff members at the school and had an opportunity to interact with some of the students as well. While our hearts were with the students in the true Nelson Mandela spirit of Compassion, our eyes were on the quest to make something better for the young lads and leave our mark.

Our hands and energy were then channelled to the soccer field where we managed to do maintenance in the form of grass-cutting, general cleaning, de-weeding, painting the goal posts and remedial work on the goal nets.

Pictures tell a better story than words can ever do, but it was a wonderful opportunity to make a change in the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters in the community surrounding our current projects, in Umlazi, on a particularly special day as such.

The best form of gratitude we received were the priceless bright smiles on the faces of the students as we said our goodbyes. After 3 hours in the scorching Kwazulu Natal sun, it felt nothing short of bidding farewell to our lifetime friends. We continue to uphold the spirit of giving back to the community and humbly stand behind our precept “We Deliver”
