On 2nd August 2018, the Temi Team had the great privilege, through our partners at Habitat for Humanity, of welcoming over 200 international NBA basketball players, coaches and their guests to the Lawley community in Gauteng.
Since 2007, NBA Cares have built a total of 77 homes with Habitat for Humanity in South Africa and 2018 was the year that Temi Construction got to be apart of uplifting the community with them!
The community was buzzing with excitement as these gentle giants volunteered to build 10 homes for hopeful beneficiaries. It was a sight to behold as the builders coached the players on how to mix ‘dugha’ and lay bricks for the wall plating.
We are inspired by the work that NBA Cares and Habitat for Humanity have been doing in South Africa, and around the world, and look forward to joining hands again in the future.
