Old Doctor’s Living Quarters

#teamtemi celebrates the handover of the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital Old Doctor’s Living Quarters.
This project saw the renovation of 30 doctors’ quarters, where the team installed central heating systems, fire detection units, new electrics and plumbing as well as bringing in new furniture. Lastly, there was a lovely addition of a newly paved parking lot with secure Clear View fencing.
The team worked hard to provide a comfortable living facility for the doctors, ensuring that they had the best living quarters possible. Thank you to the doctors for all the work they continue to do for our community daily!

Mother’s Lodge
Project description:

The #temiteam have handed over one part of our large extension and refurbishment project at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital to the Department of Infrastructure and Health.
The Mother’s Lodge unit, with 32 beds, has been constructed to assist new mothers whose babies have been admitted to the neo natal ICU. This unit provides support by preventing patients from traveling back home each day, especially for those who are nursing.

Block B & C Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital Renovation
The Chris Hani Baragwanath #temiteam handed over the newly refurbished Block B and C Doctors’ and Nurses’ Residence. Features of the newly renovated residence rooms include:
- Latest technology in fire compliance
- A more homely upgrade for the nurses and doctors to feel comfortable in the space
- A new plant room for hot water re-circulation and heating system
The team is also continuing with construction of the Neo Natal ICU wards and the 12 Storey Nurses’ residence renovation.
