In partnership with Habitat for Humanity South Africa, the TEMI Team celebrated Women’s Build Week 2018 (20-24 August) by building 17 houses with Mercedes-Benz South Africa volunteers in Lawley, Gauteng.
In the five days that the event ran, our team was incredibly inspired by the teamwork that the volunteers showed!
Wednesday 22nd August was particularly special as Mercedes-Benz held a dedication ceremony for a beneficiary who was delighted with their new home. A true spirit of Ubuntu filled the community.
On Friday 24th August our day of building began with the Lawley Primary School choir blessing us with a moving performance followed by speeches from a current learner and a graduate who is sewing back into her community.
The TEMI Team is proud to be uplifting the communities in which we work and we plan to continue getting involved to change even more lives!
